Speech Title: The Fusion Technique in Groundwater and Surface Water Quality Monitoring Specific to Metals and Metalloids Concentration

Abstract: Groundwater (GW) and surface water (SW) quality monitoring is among the most challenging aspect in environmental quality assessment. Access to the appropriate sampling points, availability of laboratory equipment for analysis within the proximity of the sampling sites, and limited number of sampling points for sample analysis due to budget constraints are among the contributory factors that go along the challenges in GW and SW quality monitoring. Mobile clinic, handheld devices, cloud-based geographic information system, and machine learning techniques is the fusion technique appropriate for determining spatial distribution of metals and metalloids concentration. This fusion technique is necessary to aid in providing solution to the needed regular water quality monitoring, and contribute to the communities’ well-being and sustainability.
